Build Your Startup on Ruby on Rails Philosophy

Today, I studied the blog of maybe the most well-known blogger in Germany, the first time. It’s Robert Basic, who’s an IT professional, too. Digging in some of the German posts I found a hint on a presentation that was held by the inventor of Ruby on Rails.

There’s a lot of discussion about the brilliant quality and programming style for Web frontends the last years you can reach with this framework. I didn’t have a look at all this in the past, so I invested time to hear what this guy is telling to people who are thinking about founding a startup.

So, here’s the video presentation by David Heinemeier Hansson, first.

If you invested the half an hour you may recognize that he’s not talking much about Ruby on Rails. But, what he tells us about the motivation to invent the framework, and about the success with his company 37signals, whereas Rails helped him a lot to get things productive in the end, that’s amazing.

For short, pretty simple things done the right way – and you’ve success in the end. One of those inspiring moments that tell you to be on the right path ;-) .
