Well, If you’re younger than 30 you may not get the joke. Monty Python is one of the most influencing comedy troupes since the late sixties. They started in UK television and became even more popular with their films (e.g. The Life of Brian).
Today I found a blog post at Digg and was quite amazed about what the old Python guys are doing these days. They put their old TV show stuff on YouTube, in high quality. For free. That’s crazy, isn’t it?
Instead of trying to catch all the copyright violators, who are doing their work on YouTube for years, they followed the strategy “to control this phenomenon”. And it seems to be successful. Their DVD selling rose up.
Brilliant idea. And typical for the Monty Pythons. Have a look at the videos if you don’t understand why. And don’t forget to buy “The Life of Brian”
