Hazem Saleh, JSF Book Author and Founder of GMaps4JSF, Commends the ICEfaces Book

After Ted Goddard another one of the Faces of JSF, Hazem Saleh, commends my ICEfaces book.

Today I found two Twitter posts by Hazem Saleh. The first one cites my valuation of GMaps4JSF in comparison to the ICEfaces component, the second one commends my ICEfaces book. Here’s a screenshot:

Hazem Saleh about the ICEfaces Book

If you have a look at chapter 10 of the ICEfaces book, or at the ICEcube sample code, you will recognize that the AJAX Push game uses GMaps4JSF for its presentation. My tests with the ICEfaces Google Maps component missed some important features for an acceptable interactivity. So, I used GMaps4JSF. If you have a look at the configuration of ICEcube you will recognize how easy GMaps4JSF can be integrated in ICEfaces project enviroments. Within the limited time frame of the ICEfaces book development this really helped. I liked the flexibility of GMaps4JSF and enjoyed to work with it.

I’m happy to get another commendation from one of the Faces of JSF. This will help other readers in their decision process.

More from Hazem Saleh (Twitter, Blog, GMaps4JSF) about MyFaces and Facelets that the ICEcube sample code is based on can be found in his book:
