Today this blog has reached the age of 5 years and 6 days. All started with the idea to write about Spring. Spring 2 was on the way in those days and I liked the idea to skip all this EJB stuff.
When I started with the evaluation of Open Source frameworks for JSF programming Spring got a cousin. After the offer from Packt to write a book about ICEfaces the JSF thing became more concrete.
Then this blog got a focus on the agile movement. I already used XP practices in out project. But, a framework, or better, a process was missing to increase quality. Soon Scrum was added to the blog.
What’s next? I’m currently working on the IPMA Level D certificate. So, the management thing gets a deeper focus. Maybe this knowledge will help me to find a method for implementing Scrum for the development when the customer context is still following the traditional management methods. Some guys in my current project call those methods senile – in contrast to the agile way of life
.
The agile community already discusses this bridging. Maybe the Proxy Product Owner concept will help here. Maybe we will have another role, the “limited” project manager, doing the adaptation.
